Compare

How ShutOut compares. Honestly.

Four ways people handle this today: app-based executive protection platforms, creator security tools, data-removal subscriptions, and doing it yourself. Each is right for someone. Here's where we fit.

Category descriptions are generalizations based on publicly available information as of October 2026. Specific vendors vary. Nobody is paying us to say any of this, and we'll happily recommend a removal subscription or a creator tool when that's all you need.

What we'd tell a friend

Sometimes the answer is "you don't need us."

  • If your only problem is your address on people-search sites, a removal subscription is a fine first step. We'll still do it better and we'll find what they miss, but start there if budget is tight.
  • If you run a brand's social accounts with a team of ten, a creator security tool with automated comment moderation and impersonator detection earns its keep.
  • If your company offers executive protection through an app and you're comfortable with it, take it. Then ask who covers your spouse's laptop and the kids. That's usually where we come in.
  • If you're a creator whose income depends on an account that five people can log into, from a phone number anyone could take over, you don't need a tool. You need someone to close the doors. That's us.
